## Challenge

The project was struggling under the weight of 32 uncoordinated work packages, unclear priorities, and inconsistent ways of working.
Delivery momentum had stalled, and teams lacked a structured approach to manage progress effectively.

## Approach

We stepped in to stabilise and reset the project, focusing on both delivery execution and team enablement. Key steps included:

- **Project control:** Regained oversight and structure across all 32 work packages.
- **Agile practices:** Introduced kanban boards to visualise work, prioritise tasks, and improve flow.
- **Coaching & education:** Coached and educated teams on new ways of working, ensuring they were equipped to sustain improvements.
- **Sustainable model:** Designed and implemented a repeatable delivery model tailored to the project’s annual cycle.

## Outcomes

- Full control restored across 32 work packages, bringing clarity and focus to delivery.
- Improved collaboration and productivity through the adoption of kanban boards.
- Upskilled teams with practical knowledge in agile delivery practices.
- Sustainable implementation model now successfully adopted for use in this recurring yearly project.

## Conclusion

By regaining control, introducing agile methods, and coaching teams along the journey, the Maintain Enterprise Applications project was transformed into a repeatable, well-governed delivery process. The new implementation model continues to deliver value each year.
